These 5 best model agencies in Newcastle could take your portfolio from zero to Vogue
Newcastle’s model agency scene is quietly thriving, with a dash of Geordie charm and a refreshingly down-to-earth attitude you won’t always find in London or Milan.
I stumbled into this world after my cousin signed up for a local casting, and suddenly our family WhatsApp became a parade of professional headshots and tales of backstage snacks.
So if you’ve ever wondered what actually goes on past the velvet ropes and camera flashes, or you fancy seeing your mate’s mug on the side of a bus one day, stick around.
Let’s take a stroll through the best model agencies Newcastle has to offer—no awkward catwalk required.
How much do model agencies charge in Newcastle?
Model agencies in Newcastle generally don’t charge upfront fees. Optional services, like professional test shoots, may cost around £95, while refundable booking deposits can range from £50 to £200.
1. Fox Agency

Contact Details: [email protected]
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Sunday – 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Fox Agency—often known as Fox Casting—is all about connecting talented people from the North East with exciting jobs. These include opportunities in film and TV, commercials, music videos, modelling, and photoshoots.
I’ve seen their name pop up on some big shows, such as Vera, Hebburn, Byker Grove, and Inspector George Gently.
What I find really cool is the variety of people they represent. We’re talking models, dancers, magicians, singers, extras, and even child stars (with chaperones, of course). They’ve even done street casting, tracking down interesting faces in everyday places.
If you’re new, don’t worry. The team is there from the very beginning, making sure you feel comfortable and supported. They also help parents understand how everything works, so no one feels left in the dark.
I’ve heard from families who really appreciated how open and honest Fox was through every step of the process.
But something to keep in mind, though, is that Fox Agency’s network may not be as extensive as those of bigger, London-based agencies. So, if you’re aiming for major commercial work or international opportunities, this might be a limitation.
Personalised support for every child and parent
“Absolutely amazing agency, very supportive towards parents and children. Always thinking about each individual and creating projects that suit their ability and personality. Very professional, I have worked with Fox casting for the past year, Camila has been very supportive on our journey from start to finish. She always laughing and joking and making you feel comfortable on and off set. We appreciate your support.”

Inspiring and engaging
“Camilla is a valued professional guest speaker for the Degree programs at the University of Sunderland. The students always enjoy the workshops and are always enthusing after the events giving great praise and feedback. We are looking forward to your next visit.”

2. NE14TV

Address: Unit 22A Foundry Lane, NE6 1LH
Contact Details: +44 7787 871996
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday – Closed
Since 2011, NE14TV has helped people move from training to casting, and even into production work. They offer training and workshops to help you grow your skills, no matter your experience level.
You can take industry-specific courses for extras and actors, join crew training, or learn online. All of which are designed to give you a better chance of being selected for roles.
If you’re worried about costs, don’t be. I like that they make it easy to sign up as a cast artist with no upfront fees.
They don’t just send you out for random jobs, either. The agency actually wants to see you succeed, whether you’re an extra or a model.
I also visited their studio spaces. They include podcast rooms, classrooms, meeting areas, and production studios. It really felt like a creative hub, and several people mentioned how great it is to have a place to come together, learn, and work on projects.
However, because many artists are registered with NE14TV, roles are often sent out via mass email or posted online. This means you’ll sometimes find yourself competing with quite a few others for the same opportunity.
Hands-on learning with expert industry tutors
“What an outstanding course from beginning to end I have just completed the Ticbox course and it was amazing very practical and hands on learning i have met some of the most fantastic people on the course and what an insight the tutors were all so knowledgeable and have all worked in the industry. Thank you Bessie for providing this opportunity so excited for what is to come!

3. Mustard Model Agency

Address: 6 Pritchard St, St Paul’s
Contact Details: +44 117 955 1964
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Thursday – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Friday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday – Closed
Mustard Model Agency stands out for its inclusive approach. Their boards aren’t just for high-fashion models, but also for actors, presenters, creative professionals, real families, and people from a wide range of backgrounds.
I love that they have dedicated boards for mainboard models, classic models (often more mature), curve and petite models, and even specialist divisions for pregnant women and hand and feet models.
What really caught my attention was their niche offerings. A staff member pointed out clients in beauty or jewellery often reach out specifically for their “hands & feet” talent, something you don’t hear about every day.
There’s an impressive focus on creativity too. I met one of their stylists who described Mustard Model Agency almost as a one-stop shop, since they also book hair & makeup artists, stylists, and social media influencers.
You get the sense that whether you’re an established brand or an up-and-comer, you’ll find everything you need right here.
However, if you’re seeking highly specialised high-fashion representation, it’s worth knowing that this agency’s emphasis is on “real people.” Commercial diversity may mean fewer opportunities for runway or editorial work.
Outstanding professionalism during castings
“We recently had the pleasure of hosting Vicky from Mustard Model Agency for a two-day casting session. Their professionalism and responsibility were outstanding, and they left our studio immaculate. We would love to work with them again!”
– Hackney Studio Space, Google Review
Exceptional client service
“The team at Mustard were brilliant when we were finding talent for a recent shoot. We worked with Hope and she was very helpful, even down to accommodating some extremely last minute requests! Highly recommended if you’re needing models for any sort of shoot!”

4. TTM Management

Address: First Floor, Baltic Chambers, 3 to 7 Broad Chare
Contact Details: +44 191 237 3400
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Saturday to Sunday – Closed
TTM Management has been a significant presence in the North East fashion world since 1994. Even though they’ve rebranded and modernised, they still keep strong local ties. They’re not just about traditional models.
They also have actors, influencers, creatives, real families, and kids on their books. This means brands can find all kinds of real people for their campaigns.
For example, TTM often works with real-life couples and families. Their work with Parkdean Resorts is a great example of how these real relationships come through in photos and ads.
Another thing that really grabbed my attention is their in-house studio, Studio Ninety Four. A photographer I spoke with mentioned how easy it was to handle everything in one place, from casting calls to actual shoots.
And, because I’m a bit of a tech lover, I had to check out their TTM Model App. A couple of clients told me it’s seriously helpful. It’s simple to use, keeps everyone connected, and just makes booking so much easier.
But it’s worth mentioning that while TTM offers a wide range of talent, they are a smaller, regional agency.
Professional models
“I recently worked with Abi Bennett, a model from TTM Management, the agency itself was very helpful and professional and working with Abi was an absolute pleasure, she turned up early to the studio, very well presented with hair and makeup ready, was very professional posing freely on her own whilst happy to take directions. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would be more than happy to work with Abi again.”
– Pjc portraits, Google Review
Helpful and knowledgeable team
“I can not recommend the agency highly enough – the team in the office are incredibly helpful & knowledgable and the models have been a joy to work with. Fantastic experience all around.”

5. VauHaus Agency

Contact Details: +44 161 211 0062
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Sunday – 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
VauHaus Agency isn’t your typical model agency. They don’t just sign models; their roster includes artists, performers, and all sorts of creative people.
Unlike agencies that focus on fitting everyone into a certain mould, they are all about individuality. One model I spoke to even said they felt comfortable showing their true self, which isn’t always the case elsewhere.
Inclusivity here feels genuine, not just a buzzword. Looking at their roster, you’ll see all sorts of gender identities, with lots of unisex or gender-neutral names like Ste, Pip, Loz, and Mitski.
From chatting with some of the models, I learned that the agency excels at creating space for non-binary and gender-fluid individuals.
Adding to the appeal, the agency maintains a boutique, collective vibe. Rather than overwhelming you with hundreds of profiles or flashy marketing slogans, they showcase their lineup as a carefully curated group.
On the flip side, because VauHaus specialises in unique and nontraditional talent rather than mainstream faces, clients searching for well-known or conventional models might need to look elsewhere.
Smooth shoots with talented and friendly models
“Worked with VauHaus on a recent test shoot, the team were great! Really helped make the whole shoot go smoothly. Connie the model I worked with was amazing! So lovely and absolutely smashed the shoot! Definitely will work with these guys again!”
– Joe Marchant, Google Review
Amazing service and unwavering support
“I’m a hairdresser and needed models for a huge shoot, and from start to finish this agency has been absolutely amazing. They’ve helped with every little detail, offered fantastic communication, and given me so much support throughout the process. I would 100% recommend them, and I truly hope to work with them again in the future.”
