Send thoughtful surprises with these 5 best gift delivery shops in Newcastle UK
Choosing the right gift sounds simple until we actually try. It needs to match the occasion, reflect personality, and arrive on time. But when distance is involved, the logistics add another layer of stress.

Gift delivery services in Newcastle, UK, streamline the entire process from selection to doorstep arrival. To simplify decision-making, we highlighted services that combine reliability with thoughtful presentation.
How much does a gift delivery cost in Newcastle, UK?

1. Coastal Hampers

Address: Hoults Yard, Byker, NE6 2HL
Contact Details: +441913388095
Business Hours: Open 24/7
Coastal Hampers was founded in 2020 in Tynemouth to support North East producers during lockdown. It operates as a small 2–10 person team focused on curated, locally sourced gift boxes.
Their hampers feature names like The Taste of the North East and The Ultimate Taste of the North East. Other options include a Cheese & Wine Hamper and a Beer & Chocolate Gift Box.
Products inside often come from Northumberland Cheese Company, Gareth James Chocolatier, and Whitley Bay Fudge Company. That regional sourcing gives the hampers a genuine North East identity.
On the corporate side, we value their ability to fulfil over 10,000 hampers for a single client and to deliver more than 20,000 gift boxes to NHS staff.
Projects have also included Newcastle United FC management and Durham University Business School, demonstrating significant operational scale. Nationwide UK delivery is available, so Newcastle-made gifts can reach recipients across the country.
However, there are no clearly stated delivery cut-off times or guaranteed delivery windows, which makes planning for exact-date occasions harder.
Excellent and friendly service
“Last minute order for a male’s birthday, requested same day delivery & received a response very quickly confirming they could! Then had to change delivery address, again no problem or drams. Excellent, friendly service & great product choices. Highly recommended!”
– Ali Brown, Google Review

“I ordered a hamper for Mother’s Day a few months ago and couldn’t have been happier with the hamper! Extremely reasonable price for the amount you get in there and all top quality produce from local businesses around the North East.”

2. Geordie Gifts

Address: Grainger Market, Alley 4, NE1 5AE
Contact Details: [email protected]
Business Hours: Monday to Sunday: 9:30 AM – 4:15 PM
Geordie Gifts is an independent retailer that has been trading since at least 2017, specialising in locally designed Newcastle- and Geordie-themed products.
A large portion of their range is created and produced in Newcastle, which keeps the identity genuinely rooted in the city.
The range is wide and clearly priced on the website. Cards start at around £3.50, T-shirts at £25, and smaller items like keyrings and coasters at about £3.99, which, to me, is affordable.
For delivery, orders over £20 qualify for free UK shipping. Orders placed before 3 PM Monday to Friday are usually dispatched the same day via 1st Class Royal Mail, with delivery typically within one to three working days (not bad at all!).
Everything is easily processed online with straightforward checkout. From experience browsing and testing the basket, the dispatch system feels reliable for UK-based last-minute gifting.
One limitation is that they currently do not offer international shipping, which means gifts cannot be sent directly overseas.
Even so, their designs centre on Geordie humour, landmarks, and references to Newcastle United. So it works especially well for sending something that clearly says “Newcastle” rather than a standard hamper.
Fantastic quality
“Delighted with my recent purchase of the final whistle print commemorating Newcastle’s win at this years’ Carabao cup final against Liverpool. Fantastic quality and design. Highly recommend!! Purchased many Geordie related gifts in the past. Ideal for something quirky and a bit different.”
– Carla Maughan, Google Review
Arrived in less than 24 hours
“Not the first time I’ve ordered from here, and won’t be the last. This time I ordered cards for my sons birthday and they arrived in less than 24 hours 👌👍 can’t ask for much better service than that! Keep up the good work guys! …”

3. UpSide Down Presents @61side

Address: 61 Side, NE1 3JE
Contact Details: [email protected]
Business Hours:
- Monday and Tuesday: 11 AM – 2 PM
- Wednesday and Thursday: 11 AM – 3 PM
- Friday: 11 AM – 4 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 4 PM
UpSide Down Presents has been trading since July 2014, offering Newcastle-themed gifts through both a physical shop and an online store. Around 97% of their stock is available for dispatch, which means most items listed online can be shipped directly.
The pricing is clearly accessible and tiered. Postcards start at about £1.50 and illustrated tote bags cost around £9.95, making it easy to build a small gift bundle within budget.
Product categories go beyond basic trinkets, which we appreciate. You’ll find mugs, local sweets, and Newcastle United-themed items, many featuring Tyne Bridge or skyline designs.
Delivery is available across the UK and worldwide, which broadens its reach beyond local shoppers. For expats or former students wanting something distinctly Geordie sent abroad, that global dispatch option makes a real difference.
Just one thing to consider is that they do not offer pre-curated gift hampers or boxed sets, so customers need to assemble their own selection of items.
Personalised and friendly service
“Ordered some fridge magnets to remind me of home and received confirmation virtually immediately and was pleasantly surprised when they arrived the very next day accompanied by the kind of friendly note that only a Geordie could write! Personalised and friendly service that’s rare these days.”
– Brian Scouler, Google Review

4. Flowercraft

Address: 88 High St, Gosforth, NE3 1HB
Contact Details: +441912130154
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM – 3 PM
Flowercraft is an independent, family-run florist that has traded on Gosforth High Street for over 30 years. With a small team of around 2–5 staff, the service feels hands-on and rooted in long-standing local operations.
Bouquet pricing is clearly tiered, with hand-tied designs starting at around £30–£40 and seasonal arrangements commonly priced at £35–£49+. Categories cover birthdays and anniversaries, plus plants and longer-lasting gifts.
We like that same-day delivery runs Monday to Saturday for orders placed before 1 pm, with deliveries made between 9 AM and 5 PM. Do note that the early 1 PM cut-off means late afternoon orders miss same-day dispatch and move to the next day.
Delivery fees are transparent at £5.95 locally and £7.95 for national UK delivery. Extras such as chocolates, greeting cards, and vases can be added at checkout, making it easy to build a fuller gift package.
There’s also the option to request bespoke arrangements by phone for theatre-style bouquets or custom combinations. After going through the ordering flow, the structure feels practical, especially for meaningful occasions where timing matters.
Creative and attentive
“We chose Flowercraft to provide our flowers for our wedding day in June and from the beginning, Pippa was creative, attentive and a real joy to work with. We came to Pippa with a fairly vague idea of what we wanted for our church and marquee wedding, only knowing colour scheme and that we wanted peonies to form part of the bouquet. Pippa spent time with us, going through each part of the day, to ensure every element was dressed perfectly to feel like a seamless transition to the garden marquee reception. We decided on dressing the church with a meadow at the alter which provided us with beautiful arrangements to then be used around the marquee too. At every stage of communication we enjoyed our time with Pippa and she really made the process both easy but exciting. Thank you so much xxx”

Our most received compliment was about the flowers , her communication was fantastic and the set up on the day was flawless. Thanks again , you made our day.”

- Sunday: 9:30 AM – 2 PM
Katherine’s Florists has been trading since 1970, starting in Grainger Market and expanding into multiple Newcastle outlets. With over 50 years of experience and an in-house design team, the operation feels structured and professionally managed.
Delivery options are broad and clearly timed. Same-day local delivery runs Monday to Saturday for orders before 3 PM, and standard delivery windows fall between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Pricing ranges across budgets with real examples listed online. Bouquets such as the White Bijou Vase cost £29.99, while gift sets with chocolates or teddy bears start at around £29.99, which feels fairly reasonable for a long-established florist.
But just so you know, their delivery fees are £6.99 locally and nationwide, with an extra £4 for AM or PM time slots, so the total cost rises once add-ons are included and needs to be factored into the final price.
Very helpful and friendly
“Popped in for a bouquet for a friend. Excellent choice of made up bouquets and also single stems to choose from. Beautifully wrapped and in a Katherine’s presentation box for ease of gifting. Staff delightful and very helpful and friendly.”
– Lorna Hutchison, Google Review
No extra charge for delivery
“I have used Katherine’s Florists several time over the years, mostly recently to deliver birthday flowers to my mother and buy a romantic gift for my girlfriend. Because my mother lives close by there was no extra charge for delivery which I appreciated. The flowers I got were very pretty and seem to be lasting awhile. The lady at the shop (I presume Katherine) was also very nice and friendly, which I really appreciate as someone who isn’t great with people skills. She also had two dog bowls outside, one with treats and one with water, for my dog Molly to enjoy – which is always nice.”
