I found it astounding that they’re members of the Stonemarket Landscaper Network and Checktrade.
They offer services to both domestic and commercial clients, which I found quite rare. With this in mind, I was totally impressed by the high-quality materials that they use, ranging from traditional stone to concrete.
Domestic clients can easily enjoy patio and driveway paving, which can be customised to a client’s specifications. For their commercial services, these can be used for several projects, such as runways and compounds.
Clients adore that the services are timely, completing projects on schedule.
However, Paving Solutions Group doesn’t have an office, so most discussions will be done on-site or by phone.

North East Paving and Groundworks has been a family-owned business for over 2 decades. They offer free quotations and a 5- to 10-year guarantee on all projects.
I love that they use Tobermore and Marshalls products, which showcase how carefully they choose materials. While these products are more expensive, they are far more durable than other suppliers.
Another great aspect is that they create virtual mock-ups of each design before implementation, allowing clients to customise their patios fairly easily. Clients quite liked the ability to work on any design, from traditional brick to modernised terracotta.
Some of their other materials include porcelain and gravel, which are quite rare in terms of pavements. Uniquely, they don’t just stick to one material; each patio is made from a variety of materials, which truly showcases their customisability.
Additionally, they can install fencing and repair or refurbish old driveways at a lower cost.

For purely stone pavements, I’d go for North East Stone Products. Run by Anthony and Clariza, they utilise beautiful natural sandstone and other reclaimed stones to create wonderful gardens and patios.
I found their style to be more traditional, with crudely cut stones offering a more personal touch to each environment. The gardens I’ve seen through their portfolios speak for themselves as they’re unique and simply gorgeous.
Still, I wish they had more options than traditional stonework.
Despite this, their services don’t stop at pavements. They can also be utilised to create garden walls and houses. Some clients have even utilised their services to create wonderful garden pillars.
Landscaping is another service they provide, and it’s truly magnificent. With natural stone, they can create realistic and durable structures that you might find in nature.

JD Pavers Ltd utilises block paving and Tarmac on their patios and driveways. Jim, the owner, and his team have over 20 years of experience and have even utilised unique materials for their builds.
Most notable among these are their resin driveways and patios, available in different colours and styles. Resin is durable and can be used in conjunction with interlocking pavement, creating a unique blend of stone and rubber.
Additionally, they seal these with waterproofing, allowing for driveways that have longer lifespans.
The style is your own with JD Pavers, allowing clients to customise each design however they want. Bonus points since it only takes 3 days to install all of their pavements.
Lastly, I love that they’re also a cleaning service. Driveways cleaned by them look brand new, and clients often rave about this service the most.
Still, they’re located in Gateshead. It may take a while before they can arrive at your door.
