5 Best Dental Clinics in Newcastle, UK to Put Your Teeth in Good Hands

  • Pricing Transparency: Clear estimates matter because surprise fees are nobody’s idea of fun. We favoured clinics that spell out costs before treatment begins.

  • Treatment Flexibility: More services under one roof mean fewer appointments elsewhere. We looked for clinics handling both routine care and more complex cosmetic work.

  • Patient Comfort: Dental nerves are real, so a calm setting counts. We gave extra credit to clinics offering reassurance, sedation options, or both.
  • Emergency Accessibility: Tooth pain doesn’t keep office hours. We prioritised clinics that make space for urgent or same-day appointments.

A trip to the dentist doesn’t need to have you bracing yourself before you’ve even crossed the Tyne. The right clinic can make check-ups, emergencies, and bigger treatments feel much less intimidating.

Friendly care, clear costs, and a dentist who takes time to explain things go a long way. That’s especially handy when you’re weighing up cosmetic work or comparing Invisalign clinics around town.

To save you some scrolling, we picked out the best dental clinic in Newcastle UK options for different needs and budgets. These practices stood out for making dental care feel a little more straightforward and a lot less nerve-racking.

How much does a visit to a dental clinic in Newcastle UK cost?

Dental costs in Newcastle depend on whether you choose NHS or private treatment. NHS fees are fixed across England, while private prices vary between clinics and treatments.

NHS Band 2 treatment costs £76.60. This includes services such as fillings, extractions, and root canal treatment.

NHS Band 3 treatment costs £332.10. This can include crowns, bridges, and dentures.

NHS urgent dental care costs £27.90. This applies to qualifying emergency or urgent appointments.

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9 AM – 6:30 PM | Friday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM | 1 Saturday per month, 9 AM – 1 PM

Honour Health is a bit of a one-stop shop for keeping both your teeth and your smile plans on track. Its Jesmond clinic handles NHS and private care, from routine check-ups to Invisalign, implants, and whitening.

The practice goes beyond teeth, too, with facial aesthetics and treatments such as its plasma facial. Sedation is available for patients who need a little extra help staying relaxed during treatment.

Emergency appointments are offered, which is handy when a toothache decides to wreck the day. The ground-floor clinic is wheelchair accessible as well, making visits more straightforward for patients with mobility needs.

One limitation is the clinic’s 135 kg patient weight limit because of dental chair and insurance restrictions. Patients above this limit may need referral to a specialist unit instead.

Pros

  • Offers both NHS and private dental care
  • Provides Invisalign, implants, whitening, and facial aesthetics
  • Sedation available for nervous patients

Excellent and Painless Dental Care Experience

I’ve been using Honour Health Dental for a few years now and have NEVER had any reason to complain about anything.

Their appointment and reminder service is excellent, their staff are friendly and courteous, and I have honestly never felt any pain during my check-ups or procedures.  Special thanks to Susan Hunter – brilliant dentist.

Warm Welcome and Truly Superior Service

A true five-star service. You’re made to feel comfortable and welcome from the moment you arrive, thanks to the warm and friendly reception staff.

The dental care itself is excellent—I’d say it would be hard to find better. A genuinely pleasant experience all round.

2. Kingswalk Dental Implant Practice

kingswalk-dental-implant-practice

Website

Address: 50, Leazes Park Road

Contact: 0191 222 0725 | 0800 844 999

Hours: Monday, 9 AM – 7 PM | Tuesday, Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM | Wednesday, 8 AM – 6:15 PM | Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM | 24/7 emergency availability for Denplan patients

Kingswalk Dental has a nice way of making high-tech dentistry feel a little less intimidating. Its iTero scanner creates detailed 3D images without the usual messy impression trays, which is a win for comfort.

The clinic covers implants, crowns, bridges, Invisalign, and other restorative treatments. Written treatment plans and cost estimates help keep the financial side clearer before bigger work begins.

Its opening hours are fairly flexible, with early starts on selected weekdays and a later Monday finish. Denplan patients can use the practice’s 24-hour emergency line, while other urgent cases have separate NHS options.

The trade-off is a 48-business-hour cancellation policy, so last-minute changes can be awkward.

Patients are expected to switch off their mobiles on arrival, which may be inconvenient if you need to stay reachable.

Pros

  • Uses iTero 3D scanning for more comfortable digital impressions
  • Offers implants, crowns, bridges, Invisalign, and restorative treatments
  • Provides written treatment plans and cost estimates
  • Early appointments available on selected weekdays
  • 24-hour emergency line for Denplan patients

Cons

  • Requires 48 business hours’ notice for cancellations or changes
  • Patients are expected to switch off mobile phones on arrival

Smooth, Fast and Painless Implant Procedure

The nurse asked me if I was nervous about getting the dental screw inserted, and I said “no.” I’m happy to explain why here in my feedback: Dr Lesley Cave explained every step of the implant process clearly beforehand. The clinic uses modern equipment, making the procedure feel precise and fast. The entire process took just 30 minutes! The local anaesthesia was applied perfectly, and amazingly, I didn’t feel any pain even after the anaesthesia wore off. The nurse also provided a detailed sheet with recovery steps, pain-relief medications, and ice packs (in a cute pink bag! 😊).

Fantastic Professional Care to Save Implants

Lesley and Kingswalk Dental Practice have been amazing at helping to save my dental implants. Lesley taught me how to brush and care for the implants properly, hopefully meaning I will have them for decades to come. I couldn’t get that level of advice with my NHS clinic, so I am glad I reached out to Kingswalk. Thank you 😊

3. The Cosmetic Dental Clinic

Website

Address: 2 Old Eldon Square

Contact: 0191 260 3688 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5:45 PM | Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM

The Cosmetic Dental Clinic leans hard into tech, but in a way that’s genuinely useful rather than flashy.

Its on-site CEREC setup can design and mill ceramic crowns and veneers during treatment, cutting down on extra return visits.

It’s particularly strong on Invisalign, with a dedicated Invisalign Zone and Diamond Apex provider status. Digital planning lets patients preview likely tooth movement and expected results before committing.

The clinic’s cosmetic focus extends to implants, smile makeovers, and other restorative work. Its city-centre location and Saturday opening make appointments a little easier to fit around a busy week.

The catch is that finance plans come with eligibility rules and a minimum spend. The clinic is closed on Sundays too, so weekend flexibility isn’t completely open-ended.

Pros

  • On-site CEREC system for same-day ceramic crowns and veneers
  • Dedicated Invisalign Zone
  • Diamond Apex Invisalign provider status
  • Digital smile previews before treatment
  • Saturday appointments available

Cons

  • Finance plans require eligibility and a minimum spend
  • Closed on Sundays

Transformed Front Tooth and Restored Confidence

I would like to say thank you to Neil, who has transformed my front tooth. I always had a discolouration since I was young. It now matches my other tooth, and I feel so much more confident! I would definitely return to the cosmetic dental clinic!

Thank you,

Anna Lennox

Incredible Smile Transformation and Reassuring Team

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at The Cosmetic Dental Clinic Newcastle! I had Invisalign, teeth whitening, followed by composite bonding, and the transformation has been incredible.

I used to feel quite self-conscious about my teeth, but now I can honestly say I can smile with confidence again. Mat was amazing throughout—so professional, reassuring, and clearly passionate about his work. His nurse Tiff was just so lovely and made me feel completely at ease at every appointment.

Five Star Painless Composite Bonding Treatment

5-star service and treatment from all the staff at Smmmile Dental Newcastle. I was lucky enough to have my composite bonding completed here by Sunny. Having previously had a fear of the dentist, I felt completely at ease. The whole treatment was pain-free, and Sunny made sure to explain each step to me as he went along. The final results are absolutely amazing; I couldn’t be happier. All the staff made me feel so welcome; the clinic is modern, clean and professional. I couldn’t recommend this dental practice highly enough. Thank you, Sunny

State of the Art Clinic and Friendly Orthodontist

Really looking forward to starting my Invisalign journey soon! Had an initial consultation where the process was explained really well, with a scan taken at the time. Had a further appointment with the orthodontist and Dental Nurse, who were both super friendly; again, everything was really well explained to me. The clinic is state of the art and staff are so friendly and welcoming; everything was explained so well, I can’t wait to start! Would highly recommend a consultation for anyone thinking about improving their smile 😁

Compassionate Professional and Painless Emergency Dental Care

Dr Karrar was excellent throughout the treatment, calm, highly experienced, and very reassuring. The procedure was completely painless, and he explained everything clearly, which helped ease my nerves.

Nurse Rachel was also wonderful and very supportive while assisting during the procedure. Together, they made the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and much easier than I expected.

I truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and kindness shown by the whole team. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for excellent emergency dental care with compassionate and skilled staff.

Prompt Sunday Emergency Wisdom Tooth Removal

I’ve recently had a great experience with this clinic. I needed an emergency appointment on a Sunday, and I managed to get an afternoon appointment. Within an hour, I had a wisdom tooth removed. The whole team were friendly and professional; Jack even messaged me the next day to see how I was doing, which is a nice gesture and great follow-up care. I’d highly recommend this clinic for any dental issues, and I’ll use them again if I ever need any dental work in the future.
