Catteries can stress territorial cats, so Holiday Kitty Cat Care looks after them in the comfort of their own homes.

Their sitters are vetted, insured, and experienced with semi-feral, rescue, and nervous cats. This means even timid pets can stay in familiar surroundings without the stress of strange cages or noisy dogs nearby.

For extra peace of mind, every carer undergoes a DBS check and regular police checks. Carers also hold or are working towards a feline first aid certificate.

One client shared that she appreciated that the sitter wore plain clothes and carried her door key securely, without an address tag that could draw attention to an empty home.

The team also works 365 days a year, including Christmas Day, which helps owners plan festive trips.

However, bookings outside their main Newcastle area may be harder to secure during busy periods.

Pros

  • Experienced with nervous, rescue, and semi-feral cats
  • DBS-checked, police checked, and feline first aid-trained staff
  • Uncoded keys and plain-clothes visits for home security

Five stars isn’t enough for this amazing, reliable service!!

Five stars isn’t enough for this amazing reliable service!!  I found Claire while looking for a reputable company to cat sit while my mam was away.  Claire was so helpful on the phone and got us booked in at very short notice.  Mel came twice a day and looked after our two kitties very well, I can’t praise her enough.

Her 30-minute cat sit service is well worth it

Sometimes I think my kiddos like Claire more than me; they are always happy when I come home. Claire is very meticulous about their care. She regularly seeks out the latest best practice information on cat care, and it shows. I am so happy to have found her, and so are my cats! Her 30-minute cat sit service is well worth it, and it gives me peace of mind that my feline friends have a little more companionship while I am gone.

I would highly recommend We Love Pets – Newcastle

We had to go out of town for a few nights and found ourselves in need of a cat sitter at short notice. Jon could not have been more friendly and professional. He put us completely at ease leaving him with the keys to our house. Our cat is a bit nervous and usually hides from new people, but Jon won her over immediately… we couldn’t believe it. I would highly recommend We Love Pets – Newcastle.

My cat can be nervous around new people but Jon managed to win her over!

I needed a cat sitter at relatively short notice and contacted We Love Pets-Newcastle, who responded and arranged for a meeting quickly.

Jon was very friendly and professional, showing his paperwork and taking notes on important points of care and routine.

My cat can be nervous around new people but Jon managed to win her over! Which is very comforting when I leave her. He was also very kind and sent me messages after each visit with an update.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Claire to look after your furbaby too

Claire is a great animal lover. Every time we meet at the dog park she is loved by all the dogs around her. We recently got a new Labrador puppy called Hennie. Claire looked after him for a couple of days and we couldn’t of been happier. Along with her dog Jazz, the two of them had a blast. It’s such a relief to go away and know your dog is looked after and loved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Claire to look after your furbaby too.

Claire is fantastic!

Claire is fantastic! She recently looked after our hamster Abby and goldfish Seed. We met Claire the day before we left for her to meet our pets and go over the details, she was really friendly and had experience of taking care of Syrian hamsters which completely put us at ease. my daughter was a little apprehensive about leaving her hamster at home, but after meeting Claire felt more comfortable, knowing Abby was going to be well looked after and loved while she was away, we even received updates and photos from Claire about how Abby & Seed were doing.

I have nothing but praise and can highly recommend

This is the first time I have used Happy Paws and the process with Julie and Darren was seamless.  There were many updates and plenty of photographs.  I returned to happy cats who had no signs of stress, they were well fed and entertained.  Very professional and friendly at home service, I will be using again, most definitely!  I have nothing but praise and can highly recommend.  The hairy bairns thank you too Julie!

We will definitely use Happy Paws again!

We were initially worried to leave our cat at home given that he’s 15 and has both kidney disease and regular bouts of pancreatitis. Darrin was brilliant though and made us feel really confident that our cat would be well looked after in his care. When we arrived home it was clear that Whiskers had been absolutely fine all week and his food/litter needs had all been catered for perfectly. The regular emails and photos are also really great and gave us a worry free holiday! We will definitely use Happy Paws again!
